Project Overview
Located in the suburb of McKinnon, Melbourne, within the City of Glen Eira municipality, this 697m² development comprises two contemporary side-by-side townhouses. The project involved the complete landscape design and construction of both residences.
The landscape was designed with a focus on simplicity, functionality, and low maintenance, creating clean, comfortable, and modern outdoor spaces that complement the architectural style of the development. The scope of works included natural turf installation, landscape planting, charcoal-coloured concrete driveways, permeable paving, and pedestrian pathways.
A key design feature of the project was the emphasis on openness and visual connectivity. Rather than using traditional solid timber or metal fencing between the two front gardens, large timber posts were installed vertically along the boundary line. This approach clearly defines each property while maintaining a light, open appearance and enhancing the overall sense of space.
